Any Unix gurus around?

I'm getting an alarm ... Failed to contact node <node name> with BBC. Probably the node is down or theres a network problem.

i'm spoken to my unix admin (in india of course, since its the weekend) .. and all they can tell me is the server is up... and the containers are up and functional.

I asked them what BBC is ... and they had no idea.

anyone know what BBC is?

Never used the system but it's apparently HP OVO/UNIX and the BBC is defined as "HTTP Communication Component" in the documentation. It sounds like the central server was unable to communicate with that particular node.

As I said, I've never used that system but I would check to see if there's possible a daemon that is supposed to be running on the node that isn't or that has crashed or otherwise not responding to queries. Check the error logs to see if it cannot bind to a particular address or just straight up isn't running.

Google "OVO unix bbc" and click on the first PDF. It is defined as such in there.
