Any ultrabooks like the Asus UX32VD with upgradable HDD and RAM?

So the reasons I bought my Asus UX32VD is because it had:

1080p IPS display
Dedicated nVidia video card
Standard upgradable SSD
Standard upgradable RAM

I won't even consider other ultrabooks if they don't have at LEAST these four capabilities.

Are there any new ultrabooks out there right now with these same 4 capabilities?

Haven't seen any on the market. Usually the second you reach ultrabook status, a lot of parts become un-upgradable. Also finding discrete graphics is quite difficult as well.

that's very much what I'm also looking for. Can you upgrade to 16gb of ram? Ideally I want 2560 x 1600, 4 ram slots 32gb of ram, 3.5 lbs, not a lot of heat on the bottom.

But this seems like a very good option in the interim.

Have you looked at the e7240 1080p?

12.5 1080 touch (glossy, no matte option)
2 ram slots
2 msata slots (1 is also a wwan slot)
dedicated mouse buttons
intel hd 4400 which I think is comparable to the gt 620m. Unless the nvidia drivers do something that the intel doesn't. Might be better for CAD?

UX303 seems to fit most the bill. (Other sites have it for around $1300).

It even looks like the UX32. I'd assume it has the same limitations (only one SO-DIMM). The screen is a 3200x1800 touchscreen, though I'm not sure that's really an upgrade because DPI scaling still sucks sometimes. It is still on pre-order, so you may have to wait, but here are specifications. The GT840M should be a nice upgrade over the GT620M.

nice but one sodimm slot is very bad for virtual machine work, and I'm sure CAD, photoshop etc.

yes, but the aforementioned UX32VD has the same limitation. UX303 is 12GB memory stock, eventually the 16GB modules will ship and then you could upgrade to 20GB if necessary.

I have 12GB on my machine (or is it 10GB?)

I found that running VMBox and Ubuntu was painfully slow. Does this sound normal?

It's best to double check. I'm pretty sure that once 16GB comes out, my UX32VD probably wouldn't support it anyway. Would the UX303 motherboard support a 16GB ram stick?
