My computer was built by someone else and with 512 RAM. So I asked him what kind of ram he used so I can buy another stick to upgrade and he pointed me to Corsair Value Select 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200 - OEM @ newegg. It's DDR 400 / PC3200. I guess he knows more about the kind of ram in my comp since he was the one that put it in there.
But I've read some reviews from buys of ram @ newegg that they did some kind of frequency matching and other garble which I didn't understand. Besides putting the new stick of 512 into the correct slot for dual-channeling, do I need to use any programs to tweak it? 😕
EDIT: Thank you all very much 🙂
