I read this at another forum, and wanted to know if it had any truth to it or not

"Random reboots are almost always hardware related. It's usually a red flag for a bad, failing, or overstressed power supply."

This was in regards to another person who has having a random reboot problem with his system running winME. Thanks.

or ram trouble. or, I believe that either nt, 2k, or xp or me has a settingto reboot on BSOD instead of sitting there with a blue screen.

but generally a spontaneous reboot is hardware - or possibly driver related. try other drivers first, then start looking for bad hardware

I think most random reboots have to do with overheating. Sometimes when I tinker inside my case I for get to connect a fan or 4 and my pc will reboot like mad.
