Any tricks to installing a receiver/hitch for my truck?

I bought a Reese universal bolt-on hitch yesterday. It's kinda tight sliding the forks onto my frame, and i'll probably have to get a sledge hammer to bang them on. Other than that, it should be about an hour install, max, right?

bmacd ;

When installing the hitch, it pays to level the truck then level the hitch before bolting into place, you are most likely going to have to drill holes in the frame to accept these bolts.
This can sometimes be difficult, modern frame rails are fabricated from hardened steel, it would be best to use either carborundum or titanium coated drill bits, a good quality 1/2 inch drill will also be required.

Good Luck :)

Had to drill two 1/2" holes in my Tundra frame. What a PITA, took forever. Only had a 3/8" craftsman drill at the time, so that was half the problem.

Ha ha 1 hour ? Figure half a day if you are lucky . If you have to drill the frame,I would take it to a shop .
