Can't get them to stay in for the life of me. I seem to have this problem with all kinds of earbuds... maybe my ears just aren't formed for it. Still, they have to be able to fit a lot of people's ears or else they wouldn't be so popular, right?

Buy different headphones. I don't know if you're aware of this, but just because it's an "iApple" thing doesn't mean it's good for you, or good.

Well, point is I shouldn't have to buy new headphones. That requires money-- and since I don't deal narcotics like a certain member of this forum, I don't really have cash lying around.

But you had enough for an I-pod? You can't afford 10 dollar headphones...15 at the most...how do you eat?

??? Earbuds cost next to nothing, you can get them for like $5-10.

You might want to look at some of those headphones that clip on the ear, though. Koss KSC-75 can be had for like $10 shipped on Amazon and have pretty decent sound quality. I didn't think they were too comfy but you can try them out and see what you think. Only thing that sucks is you can't really use them with a stocking cap whereas earbuds fit fine under most types of hats.

I'm not a big fan of the sound quality on the ipod headphones anyways. If you can get some in-ear headphones that come with the foam ear inserts, I'd recommend those. You basically squish the foam, put it in your ear, and the foam expands, creating a secure fit and blocking outside noise. This also means you can keep the volume lower on your ipod, which results in less damage to your ears.

They work fine for me under a cap. And they sound roughly 450x better than the stock buds. And they stay on your ears. Best $12 or so you'll spend if you are still using the stock buds.

I tried on the iPod earbuds once and never tried them again. Sony and some other brands have the soft earbuds with different sized caps. For me, they're comfortable enough to wear for hours or even to bed.

This although I have fairly waxy ears so you'll find those foam things getting pretty grungy after a little bit of use. If you ever come across some money later on, you could than get custom molded inserts for your ear. I don't believe it's as expensive as it sounds.

Ive got the same problem. I put it down to my funky shaped ears.

Buy headphones with "earloops" that go around your ear that hold the headphones in place. I got the Bang & Olufsen A8 as a birthday gift and I love them. They have adjustable loops (up/down and swivel) They are a bit pricey, but there are a host of other "loop-style" headphones available.

they won't stay in because of all the slick marketing...

that and the slimy mud coming out of the terrible D/A converter.

I crack me up.
