I was just wondering If there are any Tribes players out here?? I see everyone plays Cs, Ut, Ouake and Starcraft... Has Tribes washed away in the gamerz world or is it just not a game that ever caught on??

I got the cd somewhere, direct me where the patch would be for the latest version I would like to try this.
 
I played for a loong time. It was one of the only games that somehow got through the company's firewall and let me play outside. 🙂

Ohhh, I HAVE Tribes 2 and played on the beta test for a week before it was shut down. The GAME OWNZ JOO!!!!!!!

Too bad they had to put the beta on hiatus...too much bitching in the forums, and too many nagging performance (FPS) issues on even high-end systems.

Ohh, the cool thing about Tribes 2 is that EVERYTHING is integrated into the game interface. Meaning, access to chat, forums, email, clan mass messaging, messages from the dev team, new bits on the game, etc. are ALL incorporated into the game. Everything is done IN GAME. You don't need to access outside webpages as everything is self contained.

i.e., when you first boot up the game, you enter your login and password and it throws you onto the server. Then once in, you have menus for play new game, options, host multiplayer, etc. Then you have tabs for the above mentioned "community" items.
