Any tools to capture video from google or youtube?

Ive seen some really cool news clips and homemade music videos from places like video.google.com and youtube.com, and I would really like to be able to save some of them. I was searching on google but didnt really find anything, but what tools are out there that I can use to record streaming videos like that? Apprently it has someting to do with macromedia flash as well.... anyway, im at a loss.

any help is appreciated
 
If you're using FireFox I understand that there's some sort of extension for it.

I'm an Opera user though, so I can't really help you out any more than that.
