Any tips - turning it on

In about 1 hour my new pc will finaly go on.

Does anyone have any pre-advise for what to do if it doesn't turn on (or only some parts)

Any tricky areas when installing xp or bios

Just make sure everything is plugged in correctly, heatsink/fan fastened nice and tight, video card has power connected (if needed), hard drives connected to motherboard and power cable connected...etc. Now turn her ON already!! lol

Is it a bad thing that some wires are on top of other parts

Such as my fan wires resting on my motherboard?

nah, just make sure there not gonna get shredded in a fan

You mean you did not test the mb, ram, cpu, and vid card on the bench first? Much easier to troubleshoot if there is a problem.
