Here is my current setup:
WinXP Pro SP2
AMD Athlon64 3000+ 939 (1.8ghz) on stock cooler
Abit AV8 K8T800 Pro chipset
Geil 2x512MB DDR400 2.5 8-4-4
Radeon 9500p
SB LIve 5.1
350w PS
80g HD
120g HD
Lite On CDRW/DVD
Sony DVDRW

I let the cpu break-in for about 3 days of non-stop use before trying to OC. I first tried 220*9 and 1.45v for 1.98ghz and XP boots up but
many of the programs would error while I'm using them and finally after a few minutes it rebooted itself. Temp was around 47-50c. So I
then lowered the FSB to 210 for 1.89ghz @ 1.425v. It's been running stable at that for a day now with temps at 43c idle. I'm running RAM and AGP at stock voltage. I'm not aiming at
maximum results, just something between 2.0-2.2ghz would be cool. For the people who has been successful with OC'ing this cpu, can you give me any tips. Thanks.

Have you read any FAQs? Obviously, make sure PCI/AGP is working. Also, you are going to have to lower you HTT multiplier as most motherboards won't handle much more than 1000Mhz (200x5) HTT speed.

PCI/AGP Lock is off or doesn't exist on that board. HTT multiplier will be fine, these things don't ship set at 5x, they are 4x. He should be able to run up to 250 HTT and be fine.

Actually my board does have AGP/PCI lock but I heard from a few people that it theirs isn't working properly. I don't know if mine is or not but the option is there in the BIOS.

Anyways I should of done a little research first but I'm able to get it up to 2.0ghz at this moment and it hasn't errored or rebooted yet. And prime95 is running in the background as I'm writing this. I'll push it some more if my current settings are stable.

I have an ABIT AV8 3rd Eye motherboard rev 1.1 and my AGP/PCI Lock is working PERFECTLY .

Ive had my AMD64 3200+ Winchester S939 at 10 x 250 @ 2500MHz and everything ran fine .

Just make sure its at AGP = Fixed

Good choice in motherboard , these board clock great , but i have heard of some not having a working AGP lock , mabye BIOS updates have fixed the problem .

Do you have x10 Multiplier with the 3000+ S939 ?

Try this setup

FSB @ 9 x 230 @ 2070 MHz or 235 x 9 @ 2115 MHz

or

FSB @ 10 x 210 @ 2100 MHz or 10 x 220 @ 2200 MHz or 10 x 225 @ 2250 MHz

vCore @ 1.5
RAM @ 2.7
HTT @ x4
RAM @ Manual setting DDR 400

Maybe your RAM timings are too tight, or there is not enough voltage going to them. Try relaxing timings and upping voltage.
