having fast growing facial hair is a pain in the neck. If you have it, and you don't want a beard, you have te shave like twice a day. I gave up on shaving when I was 16 and have had a beard ever since (well, I shaved it off twice, but it always grows back in about 3 or 4 days.)

I have the same problem 🙁 I just have a few places that won't really fill out. *sigh* Oh well, considering I'm about to be 23 I'm guessing it's as good as it's going to get...

I should be unjust to the age were I to omit the mention of a special point of "physical culture" which has long been neglected. You find as you come into man's estate, that hair has a tendency to grow upon your face. It is the mark by which God meant that men and women should be distinguished from each other in the crowd. That hair was placed there in infinite wisdom, but your fathers have been cutting it off from their chins in small crops for thirty to fifty years, thus impugning Nature's policy, wasting precious time, drawing a great deal of good blood, creating a great deal of bad, and trying to erase from their faces the difference which was intended to be maintained between them and those of women. If you are a man and have a beard, wear it. You know it was made to wear. It is enough to make a man with a decent complement of information and a common degree of sensibility (and a handsome beard) deny his kind, to see these smooth-faced men around the streets, and actually showing themselves in female society! Let us have one generation of beards. -- Timothy Titcomb, Esq. 1858 Titcomb's Letters to Young People

you still got time to develop a full beard.

Promote facial hair? I wish there was a way to slow it down. I have to shave at lunch on occassion it grows so fast. Im older than 21, but ive been doing this since about 20.

there's no way to promote it. You're just a boy, hahaha!

I haven't shaved in two months, but tomorrow I cut it all back. I got a decent inch beard on me now (I'm 21)

I recently turned 21 and still wish I could grow a beard. Problem is that my beard is somewhat thin on the upper cheek area but its pretty full around the neck. Can this still fill out with a couple years time?

I have Scottish parents so before someone says asians aren't meant to have beards 😛

I know I can never have a Mediterrean type beard where they have really thick/dense beards but I'd like to be able to grow a decent full beard.

I've heard that if you consume jello this can help boost hair growth? is that right? supposedly because of the gelatin or something in it is what your fingernails and hair use to some extent. Then just shave daily or something?

Right now I shave every three days but that is for comfort (doesn't seem to give me razor burn then for some reason I dunno)

Screw that sh1t. Don't do it if you find out how, the novelty of a beard wears out fast and you'll be shaving regularly the rest of your life.

Just wait. As you get older your ability to grow hair increases immensely and yet not always in the places you might want hair. Think about ways to remove hair from your nose, ears, and buttocks before you wish to grow more hair. By the time you figure a strategy to battle all that hair you should hate the idea of a beard or moustache by then too. 😀 Life is like this...

I'm Scots / Irish and my beard didn't grow in unti my 30's...
relax..... by the time you're 45 you'll have hair growing places you never dreamed of....

GIrls like it clean shaving anyways....

Not mine. She likes it rough, scruffy lookin.

Mine likes it neat and trimmed short. She thought that she'd prefer me without my beard at first, but changed her mind because she likes the way it feels when I kiss her neck.

I'm 29 and I've had my beard for 5 years and only shaved it off once for my girlfriend . Some people have it, some don't I guess.

As for tips... You might want to get one of those beard trimmers, keep it on the lowest setting and keep it trimmed short and keep your neck shaved. That might create enough of an illusion of a short well maintained beard while your hair slowly grows out.

Had a haircut last evening & she had to trim my eyebrows, for some reason, she wouldn't trim my nose hairs:|

BTW, about the time you start growing good facial hair, you'll start losing it from the top of you head...
