I recently decided to go back to get a graduate degree that requires calculus. Unfortunately I never took calc in highschool or college and havn't taken a math class for about 14 years. ;) Anyway I took the placement exam after picking up a math refresher and learning some trig and was placed in the calculus class. I start in January and am trying to get prepared for it by picking up the "Calculus made easy" by Thompson, getting a decent graphing calculator, and have been hitting some calculus websites. Any other "tips" to help someone prepare (not just get by) for class in the next month? Thanks! :)

If you ask me, the best way is to pick up the textbook that the class will use and use that to study...........

If you use other books, they mght use differet notations, different order, and just different style, which might confuse you
