It doesn't appear to be much better than the stock AMD HSF. You might get a few extra MHz with your CPU, but I wouldn't expect to see much over 2.0GHz.

Thanks Beatle.

So would you say a Thermalright SK-7 is a vast improvement over this????? ;)

I just looked over the Thermaltake website. I cannot find mention of method used to join the copper slug to the aluminum. I want one that has the copper soldered/tinned or forged into the aluminum. If Thermaltake does this, they don't mention it. There are some heatsinks that even use thermal compound between the copper insert and the aluminum. That is tying one hand behind its back before the fight begins.

The SK7 is well known as a great performer, and it's a steal at the usual prices.

if price is and issue which it seems it is then the sk-7 is a great hsf, and i would suggest a Tt smart fan 2 to go with it.

That's a ripoff of the Vantec Aeroflow... but the Vantec performs rather well... it can cool my bro's 2100+@2.42 1.85v the same as an SK7 with a TMD fan. But if you have a choice... go for the SK7... i'm sure things will be different once you use an 80mm fan on the SK7. :D
