Any thoughts on the Samsung HZ50W?

My wife and I are expecting a baby shortly and are looking to upgrade our camera slightly (currently have the Canon SD800 P&S).

We are on a pretty tight budget so DSLRs are pretty much out, so I'm thinking something in between like the Samsung HZ50W which can be had for under $300

So things we are looking for:

Decent low light shooting
Good shot to shot performance
portability

Don't care so much about:

RAW shooting / editing / etc.

I haven't been able to find too many reviews on this model, so any insight would be helpful.

Thanks!

I have the HZ30W, and it's pretty good for the size. Samsung has some excellent distortion correction for the various zoom angles (barrel to pincushion).

Low-light performance is what you'd expect for a P&S's sensor size -- pretty bad. High ISO isn't awesome (800 is usable with NR), and the 30W has a lower pixel density than the 50!
