Any thoughts on the CompUSA branded 3.5" external HD enclosure?

I need an enxternal drive to move large files between 2 computers that are connected by a wireless LAN, but sometimes I have to move 100GB or more at a time and that takes forever even with my Pre-N network.
I was thinking take a 200GB drive I have and place it in the CompUSA external enclosure.
Even with USB 2 it should be much faster then my network.
Anyway I already picked up the enclose, but haven't opened it up yet.
Before I do to lessen the hassle factor I though to check it out first.
Should have done it before I bought it, but I was there yesterday anyway.
It's the one for $30. Up to 400GB drive. Says aluminum housing, but I suspect it's just aluminum inside and probably plastic outside.

Anyone use these? Anyone work for Comp and know the complaint level?

Thanks,
Mark

I used an external USB 2.0 HDD for a while until I decided to go with mobile rack enclosures to swap info and files between computers. It was very convenient to do this among mine, students' and clients' computers. Lian-Li
It is another option to consider because one can have many more mobile hdds, if needed.

I had one die within three months of owning it. I'd stay away from them if at all possible. I recommend Adaptec. Their enclosures have been working fine for me for quite some time now. I have two of them too.
