Any theories on the role of the baby on "24"? *Now includes spoilers*

The baby seems to be getting a lot of camera time and, as we know, that usually means there's going to be a revelation at some point involving the baby. Anybody have any guesses as to what role the baby will play?

I'm thinking, the baby's carrier has a bug or transmitter of some type that's allowing Nina's group to spy on CTU.

i didn't even think about it until you mention it. to me they're just using the baby to try and add some tension with whats her name- that bitchy secretary woman. but if you're right, wow.

The baby has received WAY too much attention for mere tension...especially when the entire series is permeated with tension already.

I don't think the spastic chick will be revealed as the conspirator. I suspect her babysitter was threatened to deliver the baby to the chick at CTU by Nina's group once they found out Jack was involved in trying to acquire the virus.

My guess: It's Jack's baby. Who is the mother? Maybe the ex-CTO woman who was bidding on the virus.

Wow! What great theories! To be honest, Chloe has annoyed me since her first moment on camera and the whole stupid baby thing was aggravating me more and more with each moment wasted on it. I never thought much more about it. Now, I can't wait to see which of these thories (or another) is correct.

Can we all agree on one thing: The President bringing his ex-wife back to "help" him will prove to be a BIG mistake!

Absolutly. In the first season he had the upmost integrity and risked everything for the sake of being virtuous. Since season two he's begun torturing people for info, conspiring to blackmail people, and cover up stuff. I used to think his character was compelling, now he's just some cutthroat politician. *sigh*
