Any tea experts here?

I put it in a strainer, pour hot water on it, and let it soak for 3-4 minutes... but the exact type of tea may require a different strategy

The tea goes in one of these things at least, in the Japanese culture.

It is poured directly into the cup, then put back into the "teapot" or "KYUSU" as it is called, until it reaches the desired strength and consistency.

They use modern ones also.....it's like saying all american's use purcolators for coffee.

A kyusu is a small side handled pot....the larger and non-side handled pots are not called that.
