I was watching TV in the living room waiting for the UPS man to come. At about 1, there was a knock on my door. I get up and open it to see the UPS man sprinting back to his truck. He takes off and I start running after him whilst yelling for him to stop. He pops his head out the door and just waves at me with a big grin on his face. I was uber pissed until I saw the note on the door saying he was gonna leave it at the leasing office.

THat stupid article on Toms Hardware about Nvidia buying AMD!
Didn't fall for it, but it was tacky...

The best one I've heard today was that Microsoft hired Linus Torvalds to head the Operating Systems Division under direct supervision of his Billness himself 🙂

😀

First day of spring quarter classes here. One of my instructors throws a slide on the overhead regarding grading policies. Went a little something like this:
"Final exam: 100%
Missed labs deduct from final grade
Missed assignments deduct from final grade"
He completed this with a short speech about how homeworks shouldn't be graded because they're not representative of learning everything in the course, but we're still responsible and will lose points. I was pretty far gone because it was 9:30 and thought he was telling the truth until he put the real grading policies slide up. He pulled off the stunt very well.
