Looking for a ~12" tablet to replace my standard spiral notebooks. Any recommendations? Also, how responsive are they?

I have a Toshiba M200. I don't know the screen size, but it's as responsive as you could want. The M200 is a great Tablet PC. I think there's a new Lenovo tablet that's supposed to be really good.

You can get lots of info at the tabletpcbuzz.com forums.

I have a HP TC1100 tablet pc. It's a bit different than most, as it is much lighter and the keyboard is detachable (3.1lbs without, 4.0 with). The only thing I could really call a downside is that it is 1.2ghz iirc. Of course, that really doesn't matter all that much as I don't need a laptop to run games or anything.

I've found it to be very responsive and very fast in everything I have done.

i have a Tablet PC myself, it's a Toshiba Protege, one of the first ones to come out. 12" screen. if i were to get a new one, i'd want something smaller but i think all the new tablet pc's come with 14" screens or bigger.

stupid if you ask me, portability is the only thing that gives tablet pc's an advantage over Laptops if you ask me. a 14" screen works against it.

Ah, one of the worst designed, slowest POS forums out there.

I used that one on and off for a few months. It was amazing, damn shame I couldn't keep it. Not sure if its worht the 1500$ though.....

No argument there, but they have the knowledgable TPC owners.

I've got one for sale (medical bills) with an extended warranty and docking station for less than that:)
