I dont have a lot of stuff (moved to Los Angeles 2 years ago with a car load and sent a couple boxes and since then havent bought all that much)

the ways I see it I have a couple choices...I am moving to Houston for the summer, but have to bring everything cause I dont know where i am going after that.

1) rent a truck and a hitch on the back for my car....This would of course give me plenty of room, but if i had a choice I would spend a couple days sightseeing between here and houston, this might cause me to spend a lot on gas

2) pay for a rental car and have a friend drive down with me...only problem with this, is i think its mad expensive to rent a car going 1 way...if i rented a pickup or a wagon i would be able to fit everything

3) can you buy hitches for the back of your car easily?...and rent a uhaul thing to the back of the car...this might be the best, but have no clue how much it would cost

Why don't you just rent a storage space and put the unnecessary things there until the summer ends? I can't confess to know the circumstances of your trip to Houston, but I'm sure you wouldn't need EVERYTHING for your trip . . ..

well i think there is a 90+% chance that i will stay in houston or move to the east coast so there is no reason I would come back to Los Angeles

:p

Dude I think your best choice is U-Haul, or pay a friend of yours with an SUV to come with you. You can haul his SUV with your car and will have two vehicles to fit stuff in. If you pay him decent, he probably will agree to go to Houston and go back to L.A. :) Cappish?

CHeapest way would be to rent a U Haul or a U Haul Trailer if you can tow one. THen I'd have a friend or faily member or someone drive the truck and you can drive your car and do the sight seeing. UHaul Trucks guzzle enough gas without havin to tow a car behind it as well.

Just pay the person to drive the truck for you or something maybe as compensation.

if your car doesn't have any towing capability built in i wouldn't suggest it, unibodies have a tendency to warp while towing things.

good luck with 10 between el paso and san antonio. nothing but boring desert for 500 miles.
