Got a pair of retail samsung pc2700 CTL's that need burning in to overclock.

I can run them fine at PC2100(133fsb) speeds together no problem. They both run fine at PC2700(166fsb) individually, but cant run them together at 166.

or am i overlooking something?

my samsung pc2700 actually got slower over time. i used to be able to run it at 405 mHz but now i'm stuck at a "slow" 400 mHz. i'm running .4volts over stock with the ram. oh well. some batches are better than other. can't wait until i get my corsair XMS 3200. to burn in the samsung, i would probably just slowly ramp up speeds and voltages. i think that burn in for ram is bs, though. couldn't hurt to try, however.

An electronic component "burnin" program is for weeding out the weak elements in a circuit by applying stress and has nothing whatever to do with trying to "break in" or improve the performance of the device. This whole line of activity is wishful thinking and anecdotal testimonials that has never been proven to provide any benefit whatsoever when subjected to a real test using scientific method.

Samsung PC2700(CTL) and gigabyte GA8IEXP

The 256mb sticks run fine even at 177fsb individually, but cant even run together even at 266 .

tried upping the voltages for the Dimms up .3 volts and even upping the cpu volt upto 1.625.

Please help me out.

Thanks!
