My budget is $3500, this is my first time doing this so let me know if everything adds up, and will work correctly. Im basically trying to make a powerful PC for both video editing and primarily gaming. Thanks

Yeah, it'll work, but as Magnus pointed out it's extremely expensive for what it is.

If I was throwing that kind of money at a machine I'd probably go with crossfire'd 6950's and RAID 0 SSD's.

(ignore the Antivirus. It comes bundled free with Win7 and there's no way to get rid of it in the cart)

For gaming, I recommend to invest in your input devices as-well. I use a Steel Series 6Gv2 keyboard, and a mouse with 1000Hz polling rate (Cyborg RAT 7) I also run a 120Hz 1680x1050 3ms gaming monitor.

Sandy Bridge runs cool so moderate overclocks will only require a decent HS&F and most are using the Coolmaster 212 Hyper. I recommend a 2500K but if you also want to do video editing, go with the 2600K

My advice? Don't spend $3500. You can get 90% of the performance for 50% of the price. Case in point: Dominion's build minus 3 of the SSDs).

Scratch that, 105% of the performance for 57% the price. :awe:

But seriously, unless you have a 30" monitor I would take Dominions build (minus 3 of the SSDs) and get that plus a Dell U3011.

Suggestion: buy the same / better parts for $2500, then spend $1000 for some one to teach you computer building skills that will save you money for the rest of your life.

if i build this thing myself, I wont get the overclocking that cyberpowerpc offers.... or is that something you can do yourself
