Looking for a brand and source for lighweight ~15lbs alloy wheels for a honda. No Bling Bling or any of that crap, I just want light wheels for a daily driver.

tnitsuj: here's something I learned that helped me out when I used to race Hondas: boy-racer types LOVE to sell the stock wheels off their '99-'01 Civic Sis--including the tires. They're reasonably nice wheels. A little heavier than Volk AV3s (which are magnesium alloys, very light, and $4000 a set), but they're lighter than the steel wheels and they look pretty good. And you can frequently buy them off someone who wants to put 17" wheels on their Civic for $1000 for a set of wheels AND tires. :)

Anyway... best of luck!

Well I already have 15 inch stock honda alloys on my car which way about 19-20lbs I think. I was looking for something around 15. I wonder how much those SI wheels weigh?

isekii -- really? only $400? Wow... things have changed. Of course, I stopped racing in '99.... so I've been out of the Honda game for awhile.

But yeah... I like the wheels. And they served me well when racing. Not to mention, they take a pretty common tire-size... which is more important than you think (its all too common to see "plus size" economy car wheels take weird tire sizes--because the wheel wells can't take really wide wheels).

tnisuj.... well, mine weighed 24lbs WITH tires.... so probably around 15 lbs without. Which is reasonable.... to get much under 12 lbs for a 15" alloy, you have to go to mag/titanium wheels.... and, well, break out the pocketbook. :)

Edit: Also, if you're not racing (and I mean seriously RACING), the tire/wheel weight isn't all that important. You can't really save all that much unsprung mass... because the lightest will be 9 lbs and the heaviest will be 25 (think steel + hubcap)... but your tires weight a good 9 or 10. And unless you're experiencing HARD wheel-hop, you'll probably be fine with anything you have. Its mostly about 1) style and 2) buying the tires that you want (1 being important for the street and 2 being very important for the track)
