I have a AMD Athlon XP 2200+ (1.8 ghz) and would to replace the stock HSF with something quiet and cooler. Does anybody have suggestions? I don't plan to overclock.

Get the Copper Silent 2TC from Artic Cooling. It works like a champ and is more than enough if you aren't overclocking. $20 shipped is pretty good for a hybrid heatsink

Well, I recently got the Zalman 7000A-AlCu for $30, and I really like it. The only reason I preferred it over some of the less expensive solutions was that it can be used on pretty much any CPU platform. I hope to be able to re-use mine when I go to a 754 or 939 based system later this year.

Depending on your upgrade plans, it may be worth it to spend the extra money if you can re-use the heatsink on your next computer.

Vantec AeroFlow was awesome for my 2500+. Very quiet, very effective. Check out Vantec's site on it and I thnk you'll like it. That combined with good airflow in case helped me OC 2500+ to 3200+ no problemo
