I would REALLY love to be able to feed my Satellite source directly into my PC so my HTPC can control the channels and get EPG data. I use SageTV right now and I think it supports DVB-S cards though maybe some issues but pretty sure v6 would handle it well

Trying to do research on DVB-s cards out there is tough there seems to be not much American interest in it, most sites are European.

Anyone have any experience with these ?

I would use it with a non-standard satellite service which I have a smart card for one channel and the other channels are free (FTA). So I would need something which supports Common Interface module I guess

I've heard the SkyStar 2 is a great card, but again, the whole DVB thing is mostly european, probably because there are so few good FTA satellite channels here in the US.

Looks like a cool card, and I see it has a model that has the CI module embedded on the card- really nice feature! thanks
