Any successful "RAID 0" implementation on P4PE/L/SATA/RAID mobo ??

Anyone has successfully set up RAID 0 on P4PE/L/SATA/RAID mobo using the onboard RAID controller ???

IF yes, may I know how's the performance with RAID 0 ??

What kind of Benchmark is used to measure the performance, if any ??

From my understanding, we have to use either :
(1) ATA with Serial ATA -or-
(2) Serial ATA with Serial ATA
for a RAID-0 configuration.

Since there isn't any Serial ATA drive in the market,
I'm not too sure how a RAID-0 configuration can be implemented.

im in the same boat u are in, here is what i found out ...

if u want to do RAID on the P4PE board, and you have all IDE drives, you must plug one of the drives into the RAID connector and the other drives into the serial ATA via a serial ATA convertor ... i have given up on this and decided to get an external promise card ... the documentation really sucks since the wording is confusing as hell ...

I just ordered a P4PE.

Is it possible to plug just one single ATA-100 or 133 drive into the normal RAID connector and run it just as a single drive? Would I have to use the RAID Bios to create a new array? I'd like to plug in an existing drive without losing data.

If anyone knows the answer, please reply.

I built my father in laws system using the Raid in a single drive array.

You need to put the contents of a folder off of the Mainboard CD onto a floppy and install the driver during the windows install.

Also, you will need to set up the array FIRST off of the startup keys..

there is a readme file in the Raid driver folder on the CD talking you thru it.
