Any subaru family out there? (Impreza only)

Personal preference... I don't really care about your outback or tribeca... 2.5GT legacys or Imprezas only.
I have a 2004 Impreza WRX 5spd.

2.5GT legacy is no longer being made. WRX 2.0 coming out with CVT in 2014, is that what you like😀

Any body with a nice sports car.... Like I said impreza only I'll make an exception for the LGT, but that's it... Idc about your pos Lexus or fozzy. Made that clear in Op

I previously owned a 98 2.5rs, 01 2.5rs, 00 Forester, 05 Saabaru 92-X

I should have never sold the saabaru.. car was perfection.

Currently own a 02 lexus ls430 and am thinking about getting an older Forester XT down the road.. And any Subaru owner is family.. don't be a douche.

2011 Forester. Milage sucks. Interior is rattly. Overall design is bland. Road noise isn't great. The 4cyl boxer engine is kinda weak. Really noisy when cold. Did I say mileage is horrible? It drives decent, though. My wife likes it and drives it daily but anytime we go anywhere as a family, it stays parked and we take my car for the quiet, comfort and power. It's a decent car but has a lot of rough edges.

The new WRX is a huge disappointment. No way to argue around that.

99 Legacy, 2006 Legacy and now a 2014 Forester

Had a 2000 Contour SVT 5MT which I traded in for a 2006 Legacy GT 5MT Wagon which I traded in for my current 2011 Cruze Eco 6MT. Still have my 85 Vette though. So........what was the question again?????

I still have a soft spot for the SVT Contour.

Guy on my street just traded in for an M3

4 lyfe yo.

Welcome to the ATgarage, one of the least fanboy car forums I have participated in.

I have a truck, it hauls things around and drives well through the snow. I guess in that regard it is much like a large subie.

SO has an outback. I wish they kept making the wagons. the new ones suck.

Don't be an idiot.

We've had a '05 LGT and '02 WRX. Currently still have an '05 WRX.

2001 Forester & 2006 Forester XT. We're looking to get a '15 Outback next year for my wife as her '06 Forester is small for baby gear. I'm thinking of driving my X3 for a few more years and then going back to a Forester XT. Probably will wait until the mid life refresh.

My wife brought a '95 Impreza into our relationship. Its basically her beater/winter driver while her 350z sits out the snow.

I gotta say, other than being good in the snow there isn't much attractive about the car. It has had some hellish mechanical issues that I attribute to poor build/component quality. Sure its old now, but I've seen many an old car that do not have the issues this thing has had.

One good example, the pressure tubes on the steering rack rusted through. There are two tubes, they just connect to each end of the rack, that totally corroded along their whole length. The repair was to pull the exhaust, then pull the rack, then replace the tubes. Rack itself is fine. Never heard of this kind of thing before. I get it that its possible, just surprised to see it.

Another example is the Oil pressure sensor. When it failed, it fully separated and blew oil all over the front of the engine.

I'm more of a Nissan guy, but I am thinking that I'll pick up some large American AWD sedan to replace this thing in the next year or so. It can't be *worse* than this Suby.

Must have been bathed in salt.. Not really a common issue.

Yeah, its true that it was. We live near Chicago, lots of salt out here. The thing that gets me about it is that I've had old cars before and I've worked on old cars that aren't mine and never heard of such nonsense. Of course it was corrosion, but I think inferior parts also are a factor.
