when i was young, i used to collect stamps and coins, sports cards, and comics, etc...
this new movie "the mirrracle" came out and made me dig through old boxes for some things.
i have a first day issue postmarked from lake placid for hockey and for ice skating.
as we all know the yanks got the gold from the russians that olympics in hokey that year,
and the hydden (sp) brothers cleaned clocks for all golds in speed skating.
these are silk cache envelopes with the matching stamps and post marked first day of issue from lake placid.
any of you have any idea what this may be worth?
i am going to leave them to my boys if nothing else, but i remember when we won the gold in 1980 and i remember where i was.
