A buddy of mine bought a phone off some girl who told him the phone was good. He tries to activate and turns out it has a bad ESN and cannot be activated. He was dumb and didn't try to prevent this thing from happening but now, of course, he cannot get in touch with her.

Anybody here a sprint employee that is willing to look her up so my buddy can get in touch with her?

Not even sure if this is ok to be posting. If it isn't, feel free to lock Mods

and before any of you think it was actually me and not "my buddy" it wasnt me, still goin strong with my TP2 on SERO =P

Thanks guys

I was in the same boat recently, ended up selling it after confirming from Metro PCS that they could flash it. I think that's only for certain phones though, like Verizon/AT&T. Hmm. Might have to sell it 'as-is' for parts value online, which will still bring at least some of the investment back. Sucks, but I don't think anyone who would work high enough at Sprint to actually do what you want would dream about risking their job doing something like that. It's almost certainly a violation of their contract, and at worst they might get fired and THEN sued.

Sprint won't help, all your friend can do is either sell it as a bad ESN phone on CL. Or activate it on MetroPCS or Cricket. They don't check ESN's.
