Any speed tweaks for Win 2K Pro and DSL?

I fyou have any hints on how to tweak up a standard install of Win 2K pro and DSL please post them here. I need to inmprove my ping times.

Actually, I'm not so sure about that tweak; you should run a tweak test to see what you need to tweak. The best one I have seen is at DSLReports. For the most part, the only thing you need to tweak for broadband is the RWIN, which you can read more aobut at the tweak page. After you run the tweak test you should read this tweaking info. No disrespect but I'm not so sure if the regkey DJE007 posted has as much effect on broadband connections as some people may believe.

I agree with supergax. DSLReports is the place to go. Check out the security tests also. They have a charge version but keep poking around. There is a free one there too. It will probe your computer and tell you if you have any weaknesses. Especially do this if you have a software firewall like Black Ice Defender or something else. Shows you what is still vulnerable.

If you don't have a firewall I will ask you one question. "Why?"
