UPDATE
Figured out what the problem is on my home connection. I was blocking a number of sites at my firewall, gawker was one of them. Apparently my work does the same, because those sites have the exact same problem at work. What finally clued me in was when google searches with the word gawker came up as blank pages.
So mark 1 in the dumbass category for me.
/UPDATE
I've been unable to view jalopnik correctly on both my home and work PCs. I've thought all along that it must be an issue with the site as no other sites have issues. Somebody sent me a gizmodo link tonight & I noticed it does the same thing. That person figured out that the common thread is gawker, I've tried 1/2 a dozen different sites & none of them render correctly.
I have two PC's doing this, using two different OS's (XP 64 and Vista 64). Both Firefox and IE do the same thing, and firefox with/without my normal scripts does the same (adblock, a few random greasemonkey things). I even tried IE64 (which of course has no plugins since you can't even get flash) with the same results. IE32 in safe mode again does the same.
Sample pictures:
Jalopnik

I've been trying to figure out what my work and home systems have in common, but I'm not coming up with much. Both are 64-bit OS's, both have Firefox installed along with adblock plus. Both have ATI video cards.
When I thought it was just one site I was willing to ignore it, but now that it seems to be a gawker thing I want to fix this.
Any suggestions?
