Any software to test your monitor

I am getting my computer hopefully tomorrow. Is there any software out there I can run to make sure the settings on my monitor are good for gaming?

Generally all you need to know is MS and max resoloution. Open up a image and make sure the colors seem right, maybe tweak some settings. Generally if its LCD not alot of tweaking to be done.

It is a 17inch TFT LCD I think. Alright, thanks. Any suggestion of what kind of image? A nature picture with sun and a lot of colorful flowers and such would be good you think?

Most likely something with a variety of colors. Hell even a color chart woul dowkr. Just to make sure your spot on on color image.

Go HERE. I like the TFTTest program at the bottom but there are some other good ones also.
