Any software to interface an old security system to a computer?

I have a old ADT security system left from the previous owner, would it be possible to connect it up to a computer so that I can have realtime monitoring of my house? Such as motion a red blip show up on a screen with a layout of my house when a specific door is opened or a motion sensor activated?

It would be pretty neat!

I think you're the Joony I know. Chicago, right? Airsoft?

Well, unless ADT has a software package and computer connectivity kit, I don't see how that is possible unless you program your security console to communicate with your PC, build an interface from the ADT console to your PC (with whatever type of connection you choose), have your PC recognize the ADT device (i.e., have drivers for it) and then write a program with the schematics of your house and status reports based off of signals from the individual consoles.

You'll probably get a lot of help from ADT if you gave them a call.
