Any software I can use in Win2k to hide icons in the systray?

Anyone know of any software I can use that hides selected icons in the systray? I have some PC's with some software that runs in the backgroun (namely ftp servers and VNC server) and the VNC server and ftp servers put icons in the systray. The only software I've seen that hides systray stuff actually puts an icon of its OWN in the systray. 🙁 (Hide-IT)

something that hides the icons, doesn't show up in ctrl-alt-del would be nice, something that I can hit a pre-determind hotkey to open up its configurations.

anyone help me out here? thanks

I don't recall the actual procedure, but in Win2k you can force applications to run as a service whether they are or not. And Services typically are invisible on the desktop
