Any small business owners that use turbo tax?

Anybody with a sole proprietorship use the deluxe version of turbo tax? The business edition says "expanded help with schedule c", but doesn't say if the regular version will do schedule c. I don't need expanded help, and would rather save the money if I don't need it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

It really sucks that we don't have a software forum or a tax thread.

I used it one year and it cost me thousands in accountant fees and penalties. My scenario was relatively complicated for a small business though, so if yours is relatively simple you might be ok. I'm quite sure the software is capable, but I'd rather trust the process to a professional. I now have a accounting firm to back me, and all I have to do it pop in once in a while and sign. It's worth it to be rid of the headache...

In summary, Turbo Tax is sufficiently capable, but my experience suggests going with a professional is still the better solution.

I was going with a professional, but my business is fairly simple and straight forward - plus, I used to do taxes for a small business. i could do it all by hand, but I like the ease of using the computer.

I do agree though, for most small business's, a professional is your best bet.
