This one is for the older crew

Just found my dads 1:24 and 1:32 slot cars from when he was a kid and I want to put together a track for him in his basement.

Got some vintage strombecker track but dont have a power supply. Does anybody have any recommendations on a newer power supply that would be able to power this track (if you need track length, # cars, etc let me know)

Something like this http://www.amazon.com/Pyramid-PS21KX.../ref=pd_cp_e_1

Also, do any of you know a good forum for this type of stuff, I am just getting into it and think I will really enjoy this =P

I remember scraping a screwdriver across the tracks like that to make sparks when I was a kid. That was the good ol' days when toys could kill you.

is it 12vdc? if so, that should be easy. 20 amps sounds like waaaay too much for slots.

Looking at the old power supplies on ebay I am seeing 14vdc

I dont want to be running the PS at its max capacity but dont really know what to look for =X

I know right? I found my old tyco track from the 90s, set it all up and saw the tiny little sparks and the burning smell brought back good memories. Then I went searching for the dangerous stuff and found my dads old kits woo
