Went to the Sleep Number store. Purchased their top of the line bed with all the options. They delivered it and set it up. Liked it for the first week. What we did not like was gap in the middle. We were also a bit upset when we saw how basic this thing was for what we paid for it. Yes, it basically is just a $29 air mattress. We kept it right up until a few days before their 30 day money back guarantee no questions asked. They did ask quite a few question even offering to discount the bed. When they came to pickup the bed, they just ripped it apart to carry it out. They said that it is trash now, not worth salvaging. Very glad we got rid of this bed, but I can understand why people who spend so much money on this type of bed psychologically believe they got a good deal and it helps their back. Remember - It's just an air mattress that you can purchase at Kmart for $29.

I can't sleep on air mattresses. We've slept on a dual sided Sleep Number for at least 8 years now.

Oh, and we didn't pay for ours.

"basically a $29 air mattress" except for the semi-rigid air compartments, the divider that eliminates the "gap", the several inches of cushioning foam on top, oh and the fact that I don't just sink into it and wake up crippled, sure, it's exactly the same.

I think most that bash good beds simply cannot afford a good bed.

Also many people sleep on beds that are not good for them much like women wearing the wrong size bra...they don't realize the symptoms like fatigue, aches/pains, etc.

They finally get a good bed and I will admit almost anything new sleep wise takes getting used too, and then they are like "WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG!"

It's the same as that dude working a minimum wage job swearing if they every win the lottery they aren't going to quit and be a "SELL OUT".

LOL that happens.

I don't understand the memory foam love. They retain so much heat I woke up in the night sweating like crazy when my hotel had one. Sure they make ones with "cooling gel" now, but I still don't think that's enough.

I have a memory foam bed. I don't think it gets any hotter than our old regular innerspring mattress.
