any sites that explain how to dual boot with win2k and win98

right now my primary partion is ntfs and win2k, while logical partition is fat32...if i install win98 on the fat32 partition, would my comp let me pick which to boot at startup?

no it will not, in order for your system to let you pick what os to run, you must have win98se first and then install win2k. (that has pretty much ill ive seen) you might want to check here, this topic has been discussed quite extensively, do a search.

The "C" partition must be FAT32 or FAT16 before you can install Win98. :(

WIn98 doesn't HAVE to be installed first, but it certainly makes things easier. However, Win9x MUST be able to read and write to C:. If C: is NTFS, the install will fail for that reason.

To install Win9x AFTER NT/2K, use "setup /ntldr"

You'll; have to use a Partition magic type program to free up some space in front of that NTFS partition (I use 100 megs), and format that FAT. You'll have to fix Win2K so it boots too... but after that you'll be fine I think, assuming your MBR stays intact so the Win2K CD can fix it's booting up. I think... ;)
