for motorcycles? I know I can check ebay, etc. to get an idea of what they actually sell for. I just want something to give a trade in/retail price.

Motorcycles are a whole other bag of beans when it comes to resale.

Motorcycles, especially crotchrockets, are about 100x (my math!) more likely than any car or truck to be involved in an accident.

How fciked up is your bike? Are you the first, fourth or tenth owner? Miles? What shape is it REALLY in?

All that said, if you sell it to a n00b as his first bike, you can come out OK. If you trade it in as a down payment on a shiny new dixie cup to crush (bike) you're gonna get screwed.

Not sure why you wouldn't want to use KBB...but there's also NADA...

Ya think? Is this how you managed to get 19k posts?

I have already looked at kbb. I want to get a couple of different sources. Is it that hard to come in to a thread and actually ansewer a question?

Is it that hard to find the info yourself? FYI I plugged your thread title + "motorcycle" into google and found everything you need to know on the first page.

This isn't "hey if you have some question we can answer if forum" it's off-topic, get used to odd replies.

KBB and NADA are the only two I know of that list resale prices. It's the only two resources that a used car lot will use, probably same with a bank. Oh, there's another idea, contact a lender and see what they would lend for a bike in your condition.

NADA seems to be a lot more accurate relative to what I see on Ebay and Cycle Trader

I'd be surprised if either were real accurate. I imagine the market fluxuates quite a bit.

Your initial post made it seem like you didn't even know KBB for motorcycles existed. It would've been more helpful if you had stated that you had already check KBB for motorcycles.

I'm not gonna argue this all day long. First of all this is an Off topic forum. I'll ask anything I want whether or not I have searched for it or not. And sure i could just search google. But did it ever occur to you that maybe I don't have time to look through 20 pages of BS to get to a site that someone may already know of and could post here. like b0mbrman actually did. If it bothers you don't enter the thread. Ever consider that?
Maybe no one should post until they thoroughly search google. That would be perfect. Wait, then there would be about 2 threads a day and this site might just shut down.

And who said I have a bike? Maybe I am looking to get some info to make an offer on a bike. Maybe I want to get a few educated values to see what I want to offer before I contact a lendor. Maybe I don't need a lendor. Maybe there's a hunderd other reasons.
The most important is because i want to make a thread asking this question. And until this is the Phoenix86forums then I really don't have to listen to you, do I?

Or you could stop wasting someone's time with a pointless thread. Especially since NADA is the first freaking link google gives back when you type in motorcycle + values, and if you take your little mouse and click on the link it takes you to a site where you can go to the NADA's page. Your post said you wanted trade in/retail prices and something like KBB.com. What better than kbb.com for motorcycles? Quit being an asshat and realize you weren't clear and are too lazy to do anything on your own.

I also gave you a piece of advice that isn't in on google. You don't need a lender or loan for what I told you to do. You don't need to have a bike for sale or be buying a bike to pick up the phone and say "hey how much would you lend againt XYZ bike in ABC condition?"

You are being intentionaly ignorant. Ignorance is OK, but you CHOOSE to be ignorant. That's dumb.

You are an ass.

In conclusion you are a dumbass. That is all.

Hey dumbnugget, did you use your own advice and follow that first link in google. This page no longer exists
And when you shop for a car or whatever do you just go to one site and use their values? WOuldn't it be intelligent to get a few different values to see what the range is?

Maybe I wasn't clear that I had already searched kbb but at least b0mbrman had enough intellignece to recommned a site like kbb.
Just move on.

I started to write a reply that you will likely skim over and won't be able to comprehend. Then I went to the link in your sig and realized if that's your site you have horrible taste in music. Pleaase pm me when you open up Phoenix86forums.com so I can be the first to register.
Nice personal attack too, you POS.

It's a friend's site, kinda like how you put your friend in your sig. I'll pass your comments on to him.

Your also a tard for assuming this is your forum or that we are here for you. I'll post here until they the mods tell me to stop. Pot-kettle, I think you two know each other.

You want to play an idiot I'll treat you like one, and point it out, in public. Don't like personal attacks, but you call me a POS? Pot-Kettle, I think you two know each other.

Another name calling episode of yours. Great.
And I know what this forum is for. I've been here a bit longer than you. Please look back up at your original post and see where you informed me exactly what this forum is for and what I can't ask.

More names. yay.
I only retaliated after you started it, e-thug. I'm glad you can sit on you e-machine with your "friend" in mommy and daddy's (or daddy and daddy's) basement and flaunt your e-toughness. Congratulations, winner.

Yes, it did take an unexpected turn. I'm not sure if I am going to get a bike just yet. I bought a new dirtbike in april and was thinking of getting a streetbike as well. I may do it in the next few months.

Yet another point to why you are a lazy ass. Did you bother to look at the left hand column on the page redirect under resources? Hell no you didn't. If you would have you'd see the link, just like I said in my post. Damn.. how stupid can you get? You really need to STFU and read a "for dummies" guide about navigating websites and the internet.

Carry on... you look more and more like how I'm depicting you with every post.

You two idiots gonna keep this up all night? If so, carry on amongst yourselves. I'm tired of feeding you trolls.

I know you won't listen but you may want to try and go into threads with an open mind and , if you can, be helpful to people. If you can't answer the questions, just don't reply. When you just bash people you become the reason some forums turn to crap.

Lots of car lots also use regional auction prices for comparison, and "black book" prices (not sure the difference) to determine what they'll buy/sell something for.
