Any single platter 750GB drives or 2-platter 1.5TB???

Does WD (or anyone else for that matter) have single platter 750GB drives or 2-platter 1.5TB drives out yet?

Nope. I believe 667 GB/platter is the highest 3.5in disc density currently.

Edit: My bad, there are 750GB platters in the 3TB drives. This hasn't trickled down the product lines yet though.

Yup, AFAIK WD is currently the only one w/750GB platters, but so far you can only get them in their 3TB drive.

That database isn't up to date with the latest.
It looks like the Seagate Momentus 750GB is a thicker 12mm HD vs the normal 9mm laptop drives, but does it with just two platters.

Nice link. So folks don't have to look it up, max for 2.5" disks shown in the link is 320 GB per platter.
