I'm thinking it would be cool to run a ShoutCast server from home for just myself but am wondering if there is a way for you to control the music?
In other words, I'd like to listen to my home music from work but would like to be able to change the songs being played from work -- is this possible?
Also... Most current shoutcast stations are a set bitrate, ie 64kbps, 96kbps, 128kbps, etc. Most of my music is 192kbps. Does the ShoutCast server program automatically downsample the tunes before streaming them or do you need to go through and re-encode all of the music you wish to serve at a lower bitrate?
