SCALLOPS!

Scallops. The fillet mignon of the sea 🙂

I'm not a big raw fan, but I like steamers of all kinds and crabs. Not a huge lobster fan but I won't turn it down.

Mussels are my fav....If you're ever in Philly hit Monk's Cafe...good stuff!

I'm in Philly (but lead a very sheltered life) where is Monks and do the have a raw bar and/or blue crabs?

I hate seafood. I used to like it when I was younger and now I can't stand the smell. I wish I did like it because it's good for you and being on the east coast, everyone eats crabs, shrimp, etc.

no, its more of a Belgian Tavern. Their only seafood is mussels, but they are outstanding! They also have great burgers. Their beer selection is second to none in the city. It's at 16th & Spruce. citysearch info

I'll check it out but I'm looking for an intimate seafood joint as well (if there is such a thing). the wife loves seafood more than I do.

I like all shellfish except scallops. Dunno why. When I go to my grandparents (they live in Coos Bay, OR), we go crabbing and cook the suckers that night. Extremely good.

Shrimp sushi is awesome.

Just found a place in Ft Lauterdale for Sunday Brunch.

$25 all you can eat:

Oysters
Mussels
Clams
Shrimp
Omelets to order.
5 different entrees such as crab cakes.
Oh yeah, salads, breads desserts, soups and on and on. Lots of other stuff.
1 Bloody Mary, Champaign, wine or beer.

I usually just stay with the raw bar.
Almost like eating on a Cruise Ship.

Striped Bass is really nice, but pricy. It's at 15th & Walnut. My favorite restaurant in the city is Dmitri's on 3rd and Christian. It's a small BYOB (loud) but they have amazing fresh fish and other seafood. Be prepared to wait an hour for a table....but there is a bar across the street where you can wait.....Try the octopus appetizer. Awesome stuff!
