Since we moved offices a few weeks ago I get no signal on my cell phone whatsoever while at work. I'd like to forward calls to my cell phone to my office phone. Problem is I don't have a direct line at my desk, just an extension of the main line (ie, XXX-XXX-XXXX ext 123).

1)I can't insert a pause when setting forwarding straight from my phone by dialing *72-XXX-XXX-XXXX,123
2)Google Voice doesn't support it either. I did suggest it as a feature.
3)No luck with Skype

I'm not sure what else I could even look into.

I'm hoping there is a service I can forward my calls to which in turn can forward it to my extension at work. Google has failed me, maybe ATOT knows better?

This would be really hard to do. There are too many variables that the forwarding system could be set up with. And PBXs are very different from each other and one can be set up completely different from each other.

When someone calls you at the office now, how do they reach your extension? Is there a person involved?

No person, just an automatic greeting - you can dial the extension as soon as it picks up to be connected.

Who is your Carrier?
Verizon Wireless for my cell phone, Verizon for land line at work.

usually the main line is (222)345-1000

if your extention is 222, the direct line is 222 345-1222. at least where i work that is how it is.

Unfortunately ours isn't set up that way. When we call out, the number will be any of 20 different phone numbers (none of which being the main line), but if you dial them, they do not ring any specific phone.

I put in a service request with the guys that installed our phone system to see if there is a way to make it so when a certain # calls (that certain # being my Google Voice #) it will always ring my extension. I think that would be a good solution if at all possible.

What does your co-workers do about this?
The only other person (my boss) here that has Verizon Wireless has a corner/window office so he gets a weak signal in there. But that's just his personal line and he and the field people/higher ups use AT&T for the company wireless service, so there's little hope of them forking over money for a device to boost the Verizon signal.

This is pretty standard on most PBX systems these days. We do something similar that allows to redirect incoming personal calls directly to the intended recipient, thus avoiding our receptionist.
