what are they upto, I am sort of out of touch with what is happening with them, did they release any cd lately or have something coming soon

Roots, Arise are some of the metal cd's I have heard
 
hmm .... Roots was far from the best, Arise is the shiznit. Schizophrenia is pretty awesome too. Chaos AD is when they started to go downhill IMO.
 
Chaos AD was one of the best metal albums of the 1990's, for sure. Before that, they were more death metal oriented. I think Chaos AD is where they really found their identity and then explored it further with Roots. Then Max left and formed Soulfly and I don't really know what happened to the rest of Sepultura.
