Any SD Card repair tools?

can't format it in the camera OR the pc...randomly happened last night.

2gb card, windows says its not formatted, tries to, fails. same with the camera. dammit its brand new too 🙁
 
I know there are software tools for recovering data from flash cards but if you cant even format it???

Sounds like the only tool you'll need is Shipping Assistant from the USPS to ship the RMA back.. 😉

Thats what I guessed and already had put the rma in..but thought i'd ask if anyone knew any tricks 🙂

I know the tricks for getting off hard drives but SD maybe different? 😛

I suggest trying a different card reader and see. They use different chipsets and some are more superior than others. (Explains why some are free after rebate and others are $15-$20.)
 
I have a C/F that happened to. Can't be read or formatted by anything or any utility, camera or PC. It became a "training aid" with other relics like 5.25" floppies, circuit boards, etc.

Your RMA is the best solution.
