err I dunno, I'm only a russian-speaking ukrainian, but I have a feeling this song a guy singing about a girl with (possibly) beautiful hair. 😀 By the way what makes u think its Romanian? It says "kazak music" and by the sound of it has a little bit of middle-easter twist to it, making me believe its Kazakhstani and not romanian.
 
Wowzah:Q, my parents were right when they said the movie was filmed in Romania (both are of Romanian origin) after having shown them the trailer. To my surprise, the theme song is in fact romanian, this was the first time hearing the extended version. It's considered a Manea. Wikipedia's entry states:
Manele (singular: Manea) is a Balkan music style mainly derived from Turkish love songs, considered by many to be a form of sub-culture. It is most prominent in Romania, especially in rural areas and poor urban neighbourhoods, but is also present in Bulgaria, Serbia, Albania and parts of Turkey. Manele musicians are almost exclusively Gypsies (Roma) and are called "manelisti" in Romanian.

My family can't stand this stuff.

At any rate, I'll try to get some more info on the song and pass that info along.
