Any reviews on Chaintech's VNF4?

I am looking closely at Chaintech's VNF4 - I like the quietness of a passive northbidge heatsink, but am reluctant to buy until I see a review on this. I am curious why there are no reviews that I could find (did a Google search) for a board thats already available in stores. So if the Anandtech team has some free time, a review on this interesting board will be appreciated.

Yeah, I have found MANY forums with info on this board, but none of them show up in google really -- I think it has a blind spot for forums. There do not appear to be any "official" review yet (cmon anandtech -- get on the ball!), but the forums here DO have one person who reviewed this board themselves at http://forums.anandtech.com/me...6615&enterthread=y. Keep in mind tho, that it is still a end-user review (although I believe that the writer has been a reviewer in the past). I will post here if I find any "official" reviews, but I have not seen any to date.

Here's the first review I've seen for the vnf4:

The reviewer over clocked it without a temp probe on the NF4 chip and fried it - hard to say whether this is a problem with the heat sink, bad thermal paste or just bad head work.

Thanks - I saw that. Looks like if you dont overclock, the passive heatsink is just fine. I think I will wait for the BIOS to stabilize. Too bad about the unremarkable sound implementation, and I hope that they move the capacitors in a later revision to let an XP-120 fit in there - I am thinking about this board for a non-overclocked all-passive system.
