Any reviews of LG CDRW 40/16/10 model #LG CW 16 -010

A friend of mine is considering buying it from Future Shop in canada for C$139.99(C$169.99 - C$30 mail in rebate). Its model lso mention this GCE-8160B as a ref #.

Any input would be much appreciated

LG stands for Lucky Goldstar (The Goldstar name on monitors should be familiar)

Up to the 16X , their CDR's were mediocre at best (don't buy the 12X). However with a big emphasis on
now entering the U.S. market, they did their homework on the 16X and came out with a fine unit. I have
bought a dozen of these things for around $78 in the U.S. and consider it a great bargain. I could give
you review links, but you don't really need them now, you have the Bozo G. seal of approval.
