any retailers (or e-tailers) taking pre-orders on the PS3 yet?

I believe that most of them are just taking preorders for games but not systems...that's what the guy at Gamestop said last time I was there.
 
Toys R Us did briefly.

Neither Gamestop and EB Games will be taking preorders until later in the fall so they don't screwed by inventory shortages like they did with the Xbox360.

That said, I recall somebody listing a PS3 bundle for over $1000 the other day. I'll have to see if I can find it again...

edit: Here it is - UK shop so when you convert dollars to pounds it comes out over $1000.
 
wait until lik-sang starts taking preorders....even though they are expensive. im sure by then or around that time lots more shops will take orders.
