any retail stores sell X1000?

I know that Fry's has some on display. Best Buy, Circuit City, and the other major retailers probably have them too.

I saw one on display at Staples the other day. It's a very nice machine, but the one year warranty makes me nervous.

i actually went to my staples and no go, i guess i'll try the other staples

best buy sells the 1040, just a different config. you'll be able to guage the weight etc by looking at that.

Best Buy has the zt3000 on display, which is the same notebook as the x1000, just a different exterior look. Inside they are exactly the same, right down to the bios they use.

yep, just checked. x1040 was at best buy and circuit city. i think the color scheme on the zt3000 is better though. it doesnt scratch as easily as the x1000, which i babied until i sold it
